ILCA UK Regional Open Training

If there are no spaces available, please join the waiting list. We have additional coaches on standby, but we'll need enough sailors to create another group. Encourage your friends to sign up too — the more interest we have, the more spaces we can open!

Regional open training for ILCA 4, ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 rigs will take place in the South/South West, East/South East and North/Midlands regions.

This is the second weekend of the East/South East Region, at Royal Harwich Yacht Club!

The format will be 6 weekends running between September and February. Depending on numbers, rigs may train together or separately.

ILCA 4, ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 training will be open to all ages and entry will be on a per-weekend basis.

There is no selection or qualification process for the regional open training. However, sailors are expected to be regular club racers at a minimum. They should be competent sailing in strong winds and comfortable managing full days afloat in cold/inclement weather.

Tickets will initially be made available in a group of 8, with a waiting list. A second coach can be made available if the waiting list is full. The training will not run if we do not have a minimum of 6 sailors signed up.
