ILCA UK Regional Open Training

Regional open training for ILCA 4, ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 rigs will take place in the South/South West, East/South East and North/Midlands regions.

This is the fourth weekend of the South/South West Region, at Parkstone Yacht Club!

The format will be 6 weekends running between September and February. Depending on numbers, rigs may train together or separately.

ILCA 4, ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 training will be open to all ages and entry will be on a per-weekend basis.

There is no selection or qualification process for the regional open training. However, sailors are expected to be regular club racers at a minimum. They should be competent sailing in strong winds and comfortable managing full days afloat in cold/inclement weather.

Tickets will initially be released for a group of eight sailors, with a waiting list available. If the waiting list fills, additional coaches can be arranged to form another group — so please do join it. Training (and any additional groups) will only run if at least six sailors sign up.

We recommend to book flexible or moveable travel and accommodation wherever possible - even the best-laid plans depend on the weather!

Training will only go ahead if at least 6 sailors register.

Cancellations made before the booking deadline will be refunded, minus a £5 administration fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after the booking deadline.

If you are joining a waiting list, we will be in touch as soon as possible to confirm the availability of a place.

It is your responsibility to declare any medical or dietary information which may affect your ability to participate in the event at the time of booking.
